Frequently asked questions
What is Deep Cabbage?
Deep Cabbage is a golf tournament management app for organizers. You build an event, run several competitions at once, score live on course, and watch leaderboards update in real time — all from your phone.
What tournament formats can I run?
Stroke Play, Match Play, and Skins, with best-ball and scramble ball selection. You can run several of them at once inside a single event, scored independently.
Can I run more than one competition in the same event?
Yes. Add as many competitions as you want to one tournament — for example a main stroke-play event, a skins pot, and a team scramble running side by side.
How are handicaps calculated?
Gross, net (WHS), USGA scramble percentages, Net Off Low Ball, and more — applied per hole automatically, with no manual stroke allocation. You set the handicap method and allowance per competition.
Does the app handle prize money?
No. Deep Cabbage scores competitions in points — fixed places, match points, or a skins pot — configured per competition and settled the moment play ends. It does not collect entry fees or move money; you settle any cash with your field yourself.
Can I make changes after play has started?
Yes. You can adjust handicaps, update pairings, add a round, or manage the field after the event is underway.
How do I get help during a live event?
Email us at [email protected]. We monitor the inbox and reply as quickly as we can — typically within one business day.
How do I delete my account or data?
In the app, open your profile from the account icon and choose “Delete Account.” Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your account, your sign-in credentials, and your golfer record. Organizers who added you to their tournaments keep the records for those events — see “Delete your account and data” below for what is removed, what is kept, and who to ask about it.
Delete your account and data
You can delete your Deep Cabbage account yourself, in the app, at any time — you don't need to contact us.
- 1Open your profile from the account icon in the app.
- 2Choose Delete Account.
- 3Confirm. Deletion takes effect immediately and can't be undone.
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your account and your profile;
- your email address and sign-in credentials, including any link to Google or Apple sign-in;
- your golfer record — what we hold about you as a player;
- your ability to sign in to Deep Cabbage.
What stays: an organizer's record of their own tournament
Organizers build their field by adding golfers themselves, using an email address they already have for you. If an organizer added you to a tournament, they keep the participation records for that event — which may include the name and email address they entered, and the scores from play. That information came from the organizer, and we hold it on their behalf to run their event, so deleting your Deep Cabbage account doesn't erase their record of who played.
To have your information removed from a specific tournament, ask that organizer — they control the records for their own events. If you email [email protected], we'll pass your request on to them and help them act on it.
Can't sign in? If you've lost your password or your device, email us from the address associated with your account with the subject line “Delete my account” and we'll delete it for you within 30 days of verifying the request.
We may retain limited information for longer where necessary for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes, and residual copies may remain in routine backups until they expire; our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
